Theatreland in Glasgow
Glasgow at one time had the grand total of 32 Theatres in the City. Some of these buildings survive to this day as a working Theatre, others have been redeveloped and the building can still be viewed to this day, while others have been demolished. I will list the theatres on this page to the best of my knowledge.

The Citizens Theatre - Built in 1878
The King's Theatre - Built in 1904, Grade B Listed.
The Pavilion Theatre - Built 1904, Grade B Listed
The Theatre Royal, Hope Street - Built in 1867, as the Royal Coliseum. Grade A Listed. Futher rebuilds after fire were in 1880 and 1895.
The Tron Theatre formerly The Tron Church Built in 1795. Fully working Theatre from 1982.

The Athenaeum, Buchanan Street. Built in 1893. Grade A listed - Disused.
Britannia Music Hall. Trongate. Built in 1860. Grade A Listed. Currently in refurbishment programme.
Granada, Duke Street. Built in 1934 for Cine Variety - Disused.
Odeon (Paramount), Renfield Street. Built in 1934 for Cine Variety. Derelict
Olympia, Orr Street. Built in 1911 for Variety and reopened in 1936 as a Cinema. - Disused.
Zoo, Hippodrome, Circus and Grand Variety Theatre, New City Road. Built 1911, Now a Snooker Hall.
